नाश्रॊत्रियः शरॊत्रियस्य नारथी रथिनः सखा नाराज्ञा संगतं राज्ञः सखिपूर्वं किम इष्यते ॥ १-१२२-९ ॥
'Those of impure birth can never truly be companions to those of noble lineage; one devoid of skill in warfare can never truly be a comrade to a skilled warrior; and one lacking in regal status can never truly claim a king as a friend. Hence, why do you seek to maintain the bond of our past friendship?' ॥ 1-122-9 ॥
