ततस तु नगरात तूर्णम आज्यहॊमपुरस्कृताः निर्हृताः पावका दीप्ताः पाण्डॊ राजपुरॊहितैः ॥ १-११८-६ ॥
'Immediately thereafter, from the city, swiftly and with the city ablaze in sacrificial fires, the sacred remains of Pandu were taken away by the royal priests.' ॥ 1-118-6 ॥

tatasa tu nagarAta tUrNama AjyahòmapuraskRtAH nirhRtAH pAvakA dIptAH pANDò rAjapuròhitaiH ॥ 1-118-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथैनम आर्तवैर गन्धैर माल्यैश च विविधैर वरैः शिबिकां समलंचक्रुर वाससाच्छाद्य सर्वशः ॥ १-११८-७ ॥
'Subsequently, friends, relatives, and loyal followers wrapped the monarch's body in cloth, adorning it with seasonal flowers and sprinkling various exquisite perfumes.' ॥ 1-118-7 ॥

'With her adorned thus, with garlands, and with magnificent clothes, ministers, relatives, and well-wishers stood around.' ॥ 1-118-8 ॥

'Underneath the white umbrella of state, adorned with waving yak-tails and accompanied by the sounds of various musical instruments, the entire scene appeared magnificent and majestic.' ॥ 1-118-10 ॥
