स जातमात्रान पुत्रांश च दारांश च भवताम इह परदायॊपनिधिं राजा पाण्डुः सवर्गम इतॊ गतः ॥ १-११७-३ ॥
'And he surrendered himself to the ascetics dwelling on this mountain. Thus, he has ascended to heaven, leaving his wife and infant sons in our care as a trust.' ॥ 1-117-3 ॥
