भूयस ततॊ दशगुणाः सहस्रज्यॊतिषः सुताः तेभ्यॊ ऽयं कुरुवंशश च यदूनां भरतस्य च ॥ १-१-४४।
'Sahasra-jyoti ten times the number of Sata-jyoti's offspring. From these are descended the family of the Kurus, of the Yadavas, and Bharata.' ॥ 1-1-44 ॥
