अभिवाद्य मुनींस तांस तु सर्वान एव कृताञ्जलिःअपृच्छत स तपॊवृद्धिं सद्भिश चैवाभिनन्दितः ॥ १-१-४ ॥

sanskrit

Having been entertained with due respect by those holy men, he saluted those Munis (sages) with joined palms, even all of them, and inquired about the progress of their asceticism ॥ 1-1-4 ॥

english translation

abhivAdya munIMsa tAMsa tu sarvAna eva kRtAJjaliHapRcchata sa tapòvRddhiM sadbhiza caivAbhinanditaH ॥ 1-1-4 ॥
