आचख्युः कवयः के चित संप्रत्याचक्षते परे आख्यास्यन्ति तथैवान्ये इतिहासम इमं भुवि ॥ १-१-२४॥

sanskrit

'Some bards have already published this history, some are now teaching it, and others, in like manner, will hereafter promulgate it upon the earth.' ॥ 1-1-24 ॥

english translation

AcakhyuH kavayaH ke cita saMpratyAcakSate pare AkhyAsyanti tathaivAnye itihAsama imaM bhuvi ॥ 1-1-24॥
