अनुक्रमणिम अध्यायं भारतस्येमम आदितः आस्तिकः सततं शृण्वन न कृच्छ्रेष्व अवसीदति ॥ १-१-१९९ ॥

sanskrit

'The first chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, known as the Anukramanika Adhyaya, is eternal. A person who listens to it with faith and dedication does not falter even in times of difficulty.'॥ 1-1-199 ॥

english translation

anukramaNima adhyAyaM bhAratasyemama AditaH AstikaH satataM zRNvana na kRcchreSva avasIdati ॥ 1-1-199 ॥
