[ज] तवत्तः शरुतम इदं बरह्मन देवदानवरक्षसाम अंशावतरणं सम्यग गन्धर्वाप्सरसां तथा ॥ १-६२-१ ॥

'Janamejaya said, 'O Brahmana, I have, indeed, heard from thee this account of the incarnation, according to their portions, of the gods, the Danavas, the Rakshasas, and also of the Gandharvas and the Apsaras.' ॥ 1-62-1 ॥

english translation

[ja] tavattaH zarutama idaM barahmana devadAnavarakSasAma aMzAvataraNaM samyaga gandharvApsarasAM tathA ॥ 1-62-1 ॥
