आदिश्य च सवयं शक्रः सर्वान एव दिवौकसः निर्जगाम पुनस तस्मात कषयान नारायणस्य ह ॥ १-५९-२ ॥
'After instructing all the gods personally, Lord Indra, the ruler of the heavens, then returned, and from that time onward, the Lord Narayana incarnated to alleviate the burden.' ॥ 1-59-2 ॥
