महाकाया महावीर्याः शैलशृङ्गसमुच्छ्रयाः यॊजनायाम विस्तारा दवियॊजनसमायताः ।। १-५२-२१ ।।

sanskrit

'Among them were many serpents with colossal bodies, incredible speed, towering as high as mountain peaks, measuring a yama, a yojana, and even two yojanas in length. They possessed the ability to transform into any shape and wield strength at their will, while their venom was akin to scorching fire.' ।। 1-52-21 ।।

english translation

mahAkAyA mahAvIryAH zailazRGgasamucchrayAH yòjanAyAma vistArA daviyòjanasamAyatAH || 1-52-21 ||

'The serpents, assuming various forms at their will, with blazing hoods and venom like fiery flames, were scorched there in that great sacrificial fire, afflicted by the force of the Brahmadanda.' ।। 1-52-22 ।।
