जम्बू खण्ड विनिर्माणं पर्वॊक्तं तदनन्तरम भूमिपर्व ततॊ जञेयं दवीपविस्तर कीर्तनम ॥ १-२-५५ ॥

'The next is called the creation of the insular region Jambu; then Bhumi; then the account of the formation of islands. '॥ 1-2-55 ॥

jambU khaNDa vinirmANaM parvòktaM tadanantarama bhUmiparva tatò jaJeyaM davIpavistara kIrtanama ॥ 1-2-55 ॥
