महाप्रस्थानिकं तस्माद ऊर्ध्वं सप्त दशं समृतम यत्र राज्यं परित्यज्य पाण्डवाः पुरुषर्षभाः दरौपद्या सहिता देव्या सिद्धिं परमिकां गताः ॥ १-२-२३० ॥
' The next is Mahaprasthanika, the seventeenth Parva. In this, those foremost among men the Pandavas abdicating their kingdom went with Draupadi on their great journey called Mahaprasthana.' ॥ 1-2-230 ॥
