परासुश च यतस तेन वसिष्ठः सथापितस तदा गर्भस्थेन ततॊ लॊके पराशर इति समृतः ।। १-१६९-३ ।।

sanskrit

'As soon as the Rishi Vasishtha, who had resolved upon self-destruction, refrained from it upon learning about the existence of that child, he named the newborn Parasara (the reviver of the dead).' ।। 1-169-3 ।।

english translation

parAsuza ca yatasa tena vasiSThaH sathApitasa tadA garbhasthena tatò lòke parAzara iti samRtaH || 1-169-3 ||
