चित्कलाऽऽनन्द-कलिका प्रेमरूपा प्रियङ्करी । नामपारायण-प्रीता नन्दिविद्या नटेश्वरी ॥ १४१॥
The Goddess is the manifestation of pure consciousness and bliss, like a blossoming bud of divine joy. She is the very form of love and is dear to her devotees. She delights in the repetition and remembrance of her sacred names. She is the sacred knowledge worshipped by Nandi and is the divine energy of Nataraja, Lord Shiva in his cosmic dance.

The Goddess presides over this illusory world. She is the giver of liberation and is herself the very form of liberation. She delights in the graceful dance of Lāsya and is the power that brings dissolution to creation. She embodies modesty and grace and is revered even by celestial beings such as Rambhā and other apsaras.

देवी इस मिथ्या (अस्थायी) जगत की अधिष्ठात्री हैं। वे मुक्ति प्रदान करने वाली हैं और स्वयं ही मुक्ति के स्वरूप में स्थित हैं। उन्हें लास्य नृत्य अत्यंत प्रिय है और वे सृष्टि के लय (विलय) की कारण हैं। वे लज्जा स्वरूपा हैं और रम्भा आदि अप्सराओं द्वारा भी वंदित हैं।

The Goddess is like a shower of nectar that extinguishes the forest fire of worldly existence. She is the blazing fire that burns away the forest of sins. She is the powerful wind that scatters the cotton of misfortune, and she shines like the radiant sun that dispels the darkness of old age.

देवी संसार रूपी दावानल को शांत करने वाली अमृत-वर्षा हैं। वे पापों के वन को भस्म करने वाली अग्नि हैं। वे दुर्भाग्य रूपी रुई को उड़ा देने वाली प्रचण्ड वायु हैं और वे बुढ़ापे रूपी अंधकार को नष्ट करने वाली सूर्य की तेजस्वी प्रभा हैं।

The Goddess is like moonlight shining upon the ocean of good fortune. She is like a rain-bearing cloud that delights the peacock-like hearts of devotees. She is the thunderbolt that shatters the mountain of disease and the sharp axe that cuts down the tree of death.

देवी सौभाग्य रूपी समुद्र को आलोकित करने वाली चंद्रिका (चाँदनी) हैं। वे भक्तों के चित्त रूपी मोर के लिए घनघोर मेघ के समान हैं, जो आनंद की वर्षा करते हैं। वे रोग रूपी पर्वत को तोड़ने वाली वज्र के समान हैं और मृत्यु रूपी वृक्ष को काटने वाली तीक्ष्ण कुल्हाड़ी हैं।

The Goddess is Maheshwari, the divine power of Lord Shiva. She is Mahakali, beyond time itself. She devours all at the time of dissolution and possesses an immense, cosmic appetite. She is Aparna, the embodiment of intense austerity, and Chandika, the fierce one who destroyed the demons Chanda and Munda.
