प्रताम्य वा प्रज्वल वा प्रणश्य वा । सहस्रशो वा स्फुटिता महीम् व्रज । न ते करिष्यमि वचः सुदारुणम् । ममाहितम् केकयराजपांसनि ॥ २-१२-१११
Oh ! obloquy on the house of Kekaya, you may grieve or burn yourself in the fire, or get destroyed or even if you enter the earth split up into thousands of cracks, I will not act on your terrible, harmful words. ॥ 2-12-111॥
english translation
pratAmya vA prajvala vA praNazya vA । sahasrazo vA sphuTitA mahIm vraja । na te kariSyami vacaH sudAruNam । mamAhitam kekayarAjapAMsani ॥ 2-12-111

You are destructive like a knife. You always speak palatable lies. You are malevolent. You are a destroyer of your own race. You displease the mind. You are intent on burning down all the links of my heart. I cannot bear to see you alive in this world. ॥ 2-12-112॥

kSuropamAm nityamasatpriyamvadAm । praduSTabhAvAm svakulopaghAtinIm । na jIvitum tvAm viSahe'manoramAm । didhakSamANAm hRdayam sabandhanam ॥ 2-12-112

There is no life for me without my son (Rama). What to speak of happiness again? Where is pleasure for a selfrespecting man like me? O queen, it does not behove you to do this harmful act. I will touch your feet. Show pity on me.' ॥ 2-12-113॥

na jIvitam me'sti punaH kutaH sukham । vinAtmajenAtmavataH kuto ratiH । mamAhitam devi na k kartumarhasi । spRzAmi pAdAvapi te prasIda me ॥ 2-12-113

The king ( Dasharatha ), with his heart in the grip of a woman, who transgressed all bounds of decorum, he wailing like a forlorn child and not reaching Kaikeyi's both the feet which were spread along, sank down like an ailing man. ॥ 2-12-114॥
