दीर्घकालोषित स्तस्मिन्गिरौ गिरिवनप्रियः । वैदेह्याः प्रियमाकाङ्क्षन्स्वं च चित्तं विलोभयन् ॥ २-९४-१
Who had been living there for long developed a liking for the mountains and forests and with a desire to please Sita and his own mind - ॥ 2-94-1॥
english translation
dIrghakAloSita stasmingirau girivanapriyaH । vaidehyAH priyamAkAGkSansvaM ca cittaM vilobhayan ॥ 2-94-1
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथ दाशरथिश्चित्रं चित्रकूटमदर्शयत् । भार्याममरसङ्काशः शचीमिव पुरन्दरः ॥ २-९४-२
- Rama, resembling the gods, he showed her the wonderful Chitrakuta mountain as Indra did to his wife Sachi. ॥ 2-94-2॥
english translation
atha dAzarathizcitraM citrakUTamadarzayat । bhAryAmamarasaGkAzaH zacImiva purandaraH ॥ 2-94-2
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन राज्याद्भ्रंशनं भद्रे न सुहृद्भिर्विनाभवः । मनो मे बाधते दृष्ट्वा रमणीयमिमं गिरिम् ॥ २-९४-३
( He said ) - 'Oh ! gentle one, when I behold this lovely mountain, neither the expulsion from the kingdom nor being away from friends pains my mind. ॥ 2-94-3॥
english translation
na rAjyAdbhraMzanaM bhadre na suhRdbhirvinAbhavaH । mano me bAdhate dRSTvA ramaNIyamimaM girim ॥ 2-94-3
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपश्येममचलं भद्रे नानाद्विजगणायुतम् । शिखरैः खमिवोद्विद्धैर्धातुमद्भिर्विभूषितम् ॥ २-९४-४
Oh ! auspicious one, you may behold this mountin abounding in flocks of birds of every kind and its peaks adorned wtih minerals and as if piercing the sky. ॥ 2-94-4॥
english translation
pazyemamacalaM bhadre nAnAdvijagaNAyutam । zikharaiH khamivodviddhairdhAtumadbhirvibhUSitam ॥ 2-94-4
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकेचिद्रजतसङ्काशाः केचित्क्षतजसंनिभाः । पीतमाञ्जिष्टवर्णाश्च केचिन्मणिवरप्रभाः ॥ २-९४-५
Some of the regions have the radiance of silver and bronze, some look blood red or madder crimson, some sparkle like the rarest of gems .- ॥ 2-94-5॥
