मोहमापेदिवान्भूयः शोकोपहतचेतनः । चिरेण तु नृपः सम्ज्ञाम् प्रतिलभ्य सुदुःखितः ॥ २-१२-६

कैकेयीमब्रवीत्क्रुद्धः प्रदहन्निव चक्षुषा । नृशंसे दुष्टचारित्रे कुलस्यास्य विनाशिनि ॥ २-१२-७

and with eyes as though burning in anger looked at Kaikeyi and said 'Oh ! cruel woman of wicked conduct, inclined to exterminate this race. [2-12-7]

किम् कृतम् तव रामेण पापं पापे मयापि वा । यदा ते जननीतुल्याम् वृत्तिम् वहति राघवः ॥ २-१२-८

What harm has been done to you by Rama or by me? Then Rama was conducting himself in relation to you as his own mother - [2-12-8]

english translation

तस्यैव त्वमनर्थाय किम् निमित्तमिहोद्यता । त्वं ममात्मविनाशार्थम् भवनम् स्वं प्रवेशिता ॥ २-१२-९

for what purpose are you seeking injustice to such a person? I brought home for my self destruction, you - [2-12-9]

english translation

अविज्ञानान्नृपसुता व्याळी तीक्ष्णविषा यथा । जीवलोको यदा सर्वो रामस्याह गुणस्तवम् ॥ २-१२-१०
