गते पुरोहिते रामः स्नातो नियतमानसः । सह पत्न्या विशालाक्ष्या नारायणमुपागमत् ॥ २-६-१
With the family priest (Vasistha) gone, Rama had his bath, and with his mind under control came to Lord Narayana along with his large eyed consort, Sita (with an intention to worship him). ॥ 2-6-1॥
english translation
gate purohite rAmaH snAto niyatamAnasaH । saha patnyA vizAlAkSyA nArAyaNamupAgamat ॥ 2-6-1
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रगृह्य शिरसा पात्रं हविषो विधिवत्तदा । महते दैवतायाज्यं जुहाव ज्वलितानले ॥ २-६-२
Then holding the vessel containing havish, bowed to it, he offered the oblations of clarified butter into the sacred fire for Vishnu in accordance with ritual practices. ॥ 2-6-2॥
english translation
pragRhya zirasA pAtraM haviSo vidhivattadA । mahate daivatAyAjyaM juhAva jvalitAnale ॥ 2-6-2
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशेषं च हविषस्तस्य प्राश्याशास्यात्मनः प्रियम् । ध्यायन्नारायणं देवं स्वास्तीर्णे कुशसंस्तरे ॥ २-६-३
He ( Rama ) partook the remainder of the havish seeking his own welfare and meditated upon Lord Narayana ( Bhagvaan Vishnu ). On a well spread bed of kusha grass - ॥ 2-6-3॥
english translation
zeSaM ca haviSastasya prAzyAzAsyAtmanaH priyam । dhyAyannArAyaNaM devaM svAstIrNe kuzasaMstare ॥ 2-6-3
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवाग्यतः सह वैदेह्या भूत्वा नियतमानसः । श्रीमत्यायतने विष्णोः शिश्ये नरवरात्मजः ॥ २-६-४
- with a restrained mind and a vow of silence, along with Vaidehi ( Sita ), the son of the king (Rama) slept in the auspicious temple of lord Vishnu. ॥ 2-6-4॥
english translation
vAgyataH saha vaidehyA bhUtvA niyatamAnasaH । zrImatyAyatane viSNoH zizye naravarAtmajaH ॥ 2-6-4
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएकयामावशिष्टायां रात्र्यां प्रतिविबुध्य सः । अलञ्कारविधिं कृत्स्नं कारयामास वेश्मनः ॥ २-६-५
He (Rama) got up with one yama (three hours) of the night still left, and had his entire residence decorated. ॥ 2-6-5॥

ekayAmAvaziSTAyAM rAtryAM prativibudhya saH । alaJkAravidhiM kRtsnaM kArayAmAsa vezmanaH ॥ 2-6-5
