गतेष्वथ नृपो भूयः पौरेषु सह मन्त्रिभिः । मन्त्रयुत्वा ततश्चक्रे निश्चयज्ञः स निश्चयम् ॥ २-४-१
After the citizens left, Dasharatha who was efficient in taking decisions ( pertaining to place and time of ceremonies ), again conferred with the ministers and decided thus ॥ 2-4-1॥

gateSvatha nRpo bhUyaH paureSu saha mantribhiH । mantrayutvA tatazcakre nizcayajJaH sa nizcayam ॥ 2-4-1
hk transliteration by Sanscriptश्व एव पुष्यो भविता श्वोऽभिषेच्यस्तु मे सुतः । रामो राजीवताम्राक्षो यौवराज्य इति प्रभुः ॥ २-४-२
- 'Tomorrow will be a day when the constellation of Pushya would be in the ascendant. My son Rama, who has eyes like red lotus, can be crowned as a prince tomorrow.' ॥ 2-4-2॥
english translation
zva eva puSyo bhavitA zvo'bhiSecyastu me sutaH । rAmo rAjIvatAmrAkSo yauvarAjya iti prabhuH ॥ 2-4-2
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथान्तर्गृहमासाद्य राजा दशरथस्तदा । सूतमामन्त्रयामास रामं पुनरिहानय ॥ २-४-३
Therafter king Dasharatha on retiring to his private apartment, ordered Sumantra to bring Rama once again. ॥ 2-4-3॥
english translation
athAntargRhamAsAdya rAjA dazarathastadA । sUtamAmantrayAmAsa rAmaM punarihAnaya ॥ 2-4-3
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रतिगृह्य स तद्वाक्यं सूतः पुनरुपाययौ । रामस्य भवनं शीघ्रं राममानयितुं पुनः ॥ २-४-४
In obedience to the command of the king, Sumantra set out speedily to the palace of Rama to fetch him back once again. ॥ 2-4-3॥
english translation
pratigRhya sa tadvAkyaM sUtaH punarupAyayau । rAmasya bhavanaM zIghraM rAmamAnayituM punaH ॥ 2-4-4
hk transliteration by Sanscriptद्वाःस्थैरावेदितं तस्य रामायागमनं पुनः । श्रुत्वैव चापि रामस्तं प्राप्तं शङ्कान्वितोऽभवत् ॥ २-४-५
The doorkeepers informed Rama of Sumantra's arrival. As soon as he learnt that Sumantra was back again, Rama was filled with apprehensions. ॥ 2-4-5॥

dvAHsthairAveditaM tasya rAmAyAgamanaM punaH । zrutvaiva cApi rAmastaM prAptaM zaGkAnvito'bhavat ॥ 2-4-5
