ताम् हि वज्रसमाम् वाचमाकर्ण्य हृदया प्रियाम् । दुःखशोकमयीम् घोराम् राजा न सुखितोऽभवत् ॥ २-१२-५३
Having listened those words, unpleasant to the heart like the dreadful thunderbolt, charged with grief and anguish the king was unhappy. [2-12-53]
