निष्प्रधानामनेकाग्रां नरेन्द्रेण विनाकृताम् । निवृत्तवनवासोऽपि नायोध्यां गन्तुमुत्सहे ॥ २-१०२-११
Even after the completion of my exile I do not wish to return to Ayodhya which is directionless, bereft of its chief, the king. ॥ 2-102-11॥
english translation
niSpradhAnAmanekAgrAM narendreNa vinAkRtAm । nivRttavanavAso'pi nAyodhyAM gantumutsahe ॥ 2-102-11
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमाप्तवनवासं मामयोध्यायाम् परम्तप । कोऽनु शासिष्यति पुनस्तते लोकान्तरं गते ॥ २-१०२-१२
Oh ! subduer of enemies, when father has gone to the other world, who will guide me in Ayodhya after I complete my term of exile? ॥ 2-102-12॥
english translation
samAptavanavAsaM mAmayodhyAyAm paramtapa । ko'nu zAsiSyati punastate lokAntaraM gate ॥ 2-102-12
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुरा प्रेक्ष्य सुवृत्तं मां पिता यान्याह सान्त्वयन् । वाक्यानि तानि श्रोष्यामि कुतश्श्रोत्रसुखान्यहम् ॥ २-१०२-१३
On seeing my good conduct, our father used to say comforting words to me. Now from whom can I hear such words pleasing to the ears?' ॥ 2-102-13॥
english translation
purA prekSya suvRttaM mAM pitA yAnyAha sAntvayan । vAkyAni tAni zroSyAmi kutazzrotrasukhAnyaham ॥ 2-102-13
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवमुक्त्वा स भरतं भार्यामभ्येत्य राघवः । उवाच शोकसन्तप्तः पूर्णचन्द्रनिभाननाम् ॥ २-१०२-१४
Having thus spoken to Bharata, Rama, overwhelmed with grief, approached his wife Sita whose face looked like the full Moon, and said to her ॥ 2-102-14॥

evamuktvA sa bharataM bhAryAmabhyetya rAghavaH । uvAca zokasantaptaH pUrNacandranibhAnanAm ॥ 2-102-14
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसीते मृतस्ते श्वशुरः पित्रा हीनोऽसि लक्ष्मण। भरतो दुःखमाचष्टे स्वर्गतं पृथिवीपतिम् ॥ २-१०२-१५
- 'Oh ! Sita, your father-in-law is dead. Oh ! Lakshmana, you are deprived of your father. Bharata is relating to me the sad news that lord of the earth ( king Dasaratha ) has attained his heavenly abode.' ॥ 2-102-15॥

sIte mRtaste zvazuraH pitrA hIno'si lakSmaNa। bharato duHkhamAcaSTe svargataM pRthivIpatim ॥ 2-102-15
