पूर्णचन्द्राननस्याथ शोकापनुदमात्मनः । लोके रामस्य बुबुधे सम्प्रियत्वं महात्मनः ॥ २-१-४४

The noble Rama whose countenance resembled the full moon, was a favourite of the people. The king realised afterwards that his ( Rama ) being favourite of the people, was dispeller of grief. ॥ 2-1-44॥

english translation

pUrNacandrAnanasyAtha zokApanudamAtmanaH । loke rAmasya bubudhe sampriyatvaM mahAtmanaH ॥ 2-1-44
