देवागाराणि शून्यानि न चाभान्ति यथापुरम् । देवतार्चाः प्रविद्धाश्च यज्ञगोष्ठ्यस्तथाविधाः ॥ २-७१-४०

The temples look deserted, devoid of brightness of the past. The offerings to deities have been dispensed with. There are no groups of people performing the usual holy sacrifices. ॥ 2-71-40॥

english translation

devAgArANi zUnyAni na cAbhAnti yathApuram । devatArcAH praviddhAzca yajJagoSThyastathAvidhAH ॥ 2-71-40
