शृण्वन् वचो मनुष्याणां ग्रामसंवासवासिनाम् । राजानं धिग्दशरथं कामस्य वशमागतम् ॥ २-४९-४
As hearing the gossips of the people living in the midst of villages ( the villagers were speaking among themselves), 'Fie on the king who is overtaken by passion - [2-49-4]

zRNvan vaco manuSyANAM grAmasaMvAsavAsinAm । rAjAnaM dhigdazarathaM kAmasya vazamAgatam ॥ 2-49-4
