व्यक्तं रामोऽभिषेकार्थमिहायास्यति धर्मवित् । इति सूतो मतिं कृत्वा हर्षेण महता वृतः ॥ २-१४-६६
- 'Righteous Rama will definitely come here for the purpose of installation'. So thought the charioteer ( Sumantra ) and filled with great delight . - ॥ 2-14-66॥
english translation
vyaktaM rAmo'bhiSekArthamihAyAsyati dharmavit । iti sUto matiM kRtvA harSeNa mahatA vRtaH ॥ 2-14-66
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिर्जगाम महाबाहो राघवस्य दिदृक्षया । सागरह्रदसंकाशात्सुमन्त्रोऽन्तःपुराच्छुभात् । निष्क्रम्य जनसंबाधं ददर्श द्वारमग्रतः ॥ २-१४-६७
- left (the inner apartment), eager to see the mighty-armed Rama. Sumantra, departed from the auspcious inner apartment which looked like the deep waters of the sea and saw people thronging the gate. ॥ 2-14-67॥
english translation
nirjagAma mahAbAho rAghavasya didRkSayA । sAgarahradasaMkAzAtsumantro'ntaHpurAcchubhAt । niSkramya janasaMbAdhaM dadarza dvAramagrataH ॥ 2-14-67
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः पुरस्तत्सासा विनिर्गतो । महीपतीन् द्वारगतो विलोकयन् । ददर्श पौरान् विविधान्महाधना । नुपस्थितान् द्वारमुपेत्य विष्ठतान् ॥ २-१४-६८
Then Sumantra hastened towards the gate where he saw kings, wealthy people and citizens who had already arrived and waiting there. ॥ 2-14-68॥
english translation
tataH purastatsAsA vinirgato । mahIpatIn dvAragato vilokayan । dadarza paurAn vividhAnmahAdhanA । nupasthitAn dvAramupetya viSThatAn ॥ 2-14-68
