वाग्भिः परमतुष्टाभिरभिष्टोतुं प्रचक्रमे । ततः सूतो यथाकालं पार्थिवस्य निवेशने ॥ २-१४-४६

- and commenced praising him in highly pleasing words (as usual). Thereafter the charioteer Sumantra entered the inner apartment of the king, and appropriate to the hour . - ॥ 2-14-46॥

vAgbhiH paramatuSTAbhirabhiSTotuM pracakrame । tataH sUto yathAkAlaM pArthivasya nivezane ॥ 2-14-46

सुमन्त्रः प्राञ्जलिर्भूत्वा तुष्टाव जगतीपतिम् । यथा नन्दति तेजस्वी सागरो भास्करोदये ॥ २-१४-४७

- with folded hands began singing the praise of the lord of the earth ( king Dashratha ) . - 'Just as the mighty ocean rejoices at sunrise - ॥ 2-14-47॥

english translation

sumantraH prAJjalirbhUtvA tuSTAva jagatIpatim । yathA nandati tejasvI sAgaro bhAskarodaye ॥ 2-14-47

प्रीतह् प्रीतेन मनसा तथानन्दघनः स्वतः । इन्द्रमस्यां तु वेलायामभितुष्टाव मातलिः ॥ २-१४-४८

- the inherently cheerful Sumantra became delighted to see the king. Just as Indra's charioteer at this time (at dawn) extols him - ॥ 2-14-48॥

english translation

prItah prItena manasA tathAnandaghanaH svataH । indramasyAM tu velAyAmabhituSTAva mAtaliH ॥ 2-14-48

सोऽजयद्धानवान्सर्वांस्तथा त्वां बोधयाम्यहम् । वेदाः सहाङ्गविद्याश्छ यथाह्यात्मभुवम् विभुम् ॥ २-१४-४९

- the conquerer of demons, so do I rouse you (with a song). Just as, by the Vedas together with the knowledge of Vedangas, the self born bhagavaan . - ॥ 2-14-49॥

so'jayaddhAnavAnsarvAMstathA tvAM bodhayAmyaham । vedAH sahAGgavidyAzcha yathAhyAtmabhuvam vibhum ॥ 2-14-49

ब्रह्माणम् बोधयन्त्यद्य तथा त्वां बोधयाम्यहम् । आदित्यः सह चन्द्रेण यथा भूतधरां शुभाम् ॥ २-१४-५०

- Brahma is awaken, so do I awaken you. As by the Sun along with the Moon, the auspicious supporters of all beings . - ॥ 2-14-50॥

english translation

brahmANam bodhayantyadya tathA tvAM bodhayAmyaham । AdityaH saha candreNa yathA bhUtadharAM zubhAm ॥ 2-14-50
