आगता त्वामियं बुद्धिस्स्वजा वैनयिकी च या । भृशमुत्सहसे तात रक्षितुं पृथिवीमपि ॥ २-११२-१६
- 'Oh ! child, this wisdom of yours is both inborn and imbibed through training. With this, you are perfectly capable of protecting the earth. ॥ 2-112-16॥

AgatA tvAmiyaM buddhissvajA vainayikI ca yA । bhRzamutsahase tAta rakSituM pRthivImapi ॥ 2-112-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअमात्यैश्च सुहृद्भिश्च बुद्धिमद्भिश्च मन्त्रिभिः । सर्वकार्याणि सम्मन्त्र्य सुमहन्त्यपि कारय ॥ २-११२-१७
After due consultation with ministers, friends, counsellors and prudent persons, accomplish all tasks, however formidable they may appear. ॥ 2-112-17॥

amAtyaizca suhRdbhizca buddhimadbhizca mantribhiH । sarvakAryANi sammantrya sumahantyapi kAraya ॥ 2-112-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलक्ष्मीश्चन्द्रादपेयाद्वा हिमवान्वा हिमं त्यजेत् । अतीयात्सागरो वेलां न प्रतिज्ञामहं पितुः ॥ २-११२-१८
The Moon might lose its splendour, snow might abandon the Himavat mountain, the ocean might overstep its shores, but I shall not forsake the promise made to my father. ॥ 2-112-18॥

lakSmIzcandrAdapeyAdvA himavAnvA himaM tyajet । atIyAtsAgaro velAM na pratijJAmahaM pituH ॥ 2-112-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकामाद्वा तात लोभाद्वा मात्रातुभ्यमिदं कृतम् । न तन्मनसि कर्तव्यं वर्तितव्यं च मातृवत् ॥ २-११२-१९
Dear brother, whether out of affection or greed, your mother has done this for your sake. It should not agitate your mind. You should conduct yourself as one should towards one's mother.' ॥ 2-112-19॥

kAmAdvA tAta lobhAdvA mAtrAtubhyamidaM kRtam । na tanmanasi kartavyaM vartitavyaM ca mAtRvat ॥ 2-112-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं ब्रुवाणं भरतः कौसल्यासुतमब्रवीत् । तेजसाऽऽदित्यसङ्काशं प्रतिपच्चन्द्रदर्शनम् ॥ २-११२-२०
On hearing this, Bharata replied to the son of Kausalya who looked like the Sun or the new Moon in brilliance ॥ 2-112-20॥
