तमप्रतिमतेजोभ्यां भ्रातृभ्यां रोमहर्षणम् । विस्मिता: स‌ङ्गमं प्रेक्ष्य समवेता महर्षयः ॥ २-११२-१

The great sages assembled there were amazed at witnessing the meeting of the two brothers (Rama and Bharata) of unparalleled brilliance. ॥ 2-112-1॥

अन्तर्हिता मुनिगणास्सिद्धाश्च परमर्षयः । तौ भ्रातरौ महात्मानौ काकुत्स्थौ प्रशशंसिरे ॥ २-११२-२

The hosts of sages, siddhas and devarshis watching invisible the two Kakutstha brothers extoled them. ॥ 2-112-2॥

antarhitA munigaNAssiddhAzca paramarSayaH । tau bhrAtarau mahAtmAnau kAkutsthau prazazaMsire ॥ 2-112-2

स धन्यो यस्य पुत्रौ द्वौ धर्मज्ञौ धर्मविक्रमौ । श्रुत्वा वयं हि सम्भाषामुभयोः स्पृहयामहे ॥ २-११२-३

'On hearing their dialogue we are deeply drawn towards them, these two sons of king Dasaratha who was fortunate to have these practioners of righteousness and whose strength is dharma.' ॥ 2-112-3॥

sa dhanyo yasya putrau dvau dharmajJau dharmavikramau । zrutvA vayaM hi sambhASAmubhayoH spRhayAmahe ॥ 2-112-3

ततस्त्वृषिगणाः क्षिप्रं दशग्रीववधैषिणः । भरतं राजशार्दूलमित्यूचु: स‌ङ्गता वचः ॥ २-११२-४

Thereafter hosts of rishis desiring the speedy destruction of tenheaded Ravana said these words to Bharata, the best of kings ॥ 2-112-4॥

कुले जात महाप्राज्ञ महावृत्त महायशः । ग्राह्यं रामस्य वाक्यं ते पितरं यद्यवेक्षसे ॥ २-११२-५

- 'Oh ! Bharata, born in an illustrious race, highly sagacious and a man of virtuous conduct and great renown, accept Rama's proposal if you have any regard for your father. ॥ 2-112-5॥

kule jAta mahAprAjJa mahAvRtta mahAyazaH । grAhyaM rAmasya vAkyaM te pitaraM yadyavekSase ॥ 2-112-5
