सिताभ्रशिखराभेषु देवतायतनेषु च । चतुष्पधेषु रध्यासु चैत्येष्वट्टाल केषु च ॥ २-६-११
On the temples looking resplendent like peaks wreathed by a mass of white clouds, at the crossroads, on the thoroughfares and on the trees standing on avenues - ॥ 2-6-11॥

- on the towers and stalls of the merchants abounding in various kinds of merchandise, on prosperous and graceful houses of householders - ॥ 2-6-12॥

nAnApaNyasamRddheSu vaNijAmApaNeSu ca । kuTumbinAM samRddheSu zrImatsu bhavaneSu ca ॥ 2-6-12

- in all public halls and on trees looking tall from a distance, banners of varying colours and flags were raised. ॥ 2-6-13॥

Troupes of actors and dancers entertained the people with songs pleasing to the mind and ears and their utterances were heard here and there. ॥ 2-6-14॥

With Rama's anointment ceremony approaching, people were engaged in mutual conversations in their houses and at road junctions, about the ceremony. ॥ 2-6-15॥
