या प्रीतिर्बहुमानश्च मय्ययोध्यानिवासिनाम् । मत्प्रियार्थं विशेषेण भरते सा निवेश्यताम् ॥ २-४५-६
- 'Oh ! citizens of Ayodhya may the love and respect you have shown to please me be bestowed specially on Bharata. ॥ 2-45-6॥
english translation
yA prItirbahumAnazca mayyayodhyAnivAsinAm । matpriyArthaM vizeSeNa bharate sA nivezyatAm ॥ 2-45-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस हि कल्याणचारित्रः कैकेय्यानन्दवर्धनः । करिष्यति यथावद्वः प्रियाणि च हितानि च ॥ २-४५-७
Bharata, enhancer of the delight of Kaikeyi, possesses an auspicious character. He will do for you everything appropriate, agreeable and beneficial. ॥ 2-45-7॥
english translation
sa hi kalyANacAritraH kaikeyyAnandavardhanaH । kariSyati yathAvadvaH priyANi ca hitAni ca ॥ 2-45-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptज्ञानवृद्धो वयोबालो मृदुर्वीर्यगुणान्वितः । अनुरूपः स वो भर्ता भविष्यति भयापहः ॥ २-४५-८
Though tender in age Bharata is mature in intellect. Gentle, valiant and virtuous, he will dispel all your fears and act as a true protector. ॥ 2-45-8॥

jJAnavRddho vayobAlo mRdurvIryaguNAnvitaH । anurUpaH sa vo bhartA bhaviSyati bhayApahaH ॥ 2-45-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस हि राजगुणैर्युक्तो युवराजः समीक्षितः । अपि चापि मया शिष्टैः कार्यं वो भर्तृशासनम् ॥ २-४५-९
Endowed with kingly qualities, he is recognised as heirapparent. Therefore, as I did, all of you should obey the order of the king. ॥ 2-45-9॥

sa hi rAjaguNairyukto yuvarAjaH samIkSitaH । api cApi mayA ziSTaiH kAryaM vo bhartRzAsanam ॥ 2-45-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन च सन्तप्येद्यथा चासौ वनवासं गते मयि । महाराजस्तथा कार्यो मम प्रियचिकीर्षया ॥ २-४५-१०
If you desire to please me, act in such a way that the king does not grieve after I have gone to the forest.' ॥ 2-45-10॥
english translation
na ca santapyedyathA cAsau vanavAsaM gate mayi । mahArAjastathA kAryo mama priyacikIrSayA ॥ 2-45-10
