तत्र ते जननी क्रुद्धा मृत्युपाशमभीप्सती । हासं ते नृपते सौम्य जिज्ञासामीति चाब्रवीत् ॥ २-३५-२१

This incensed your mother who seeking the noose of death, asked him, 'Oh ! handsome king, I intend to know the cause of your laughter'. ॥ 2-35-21॥

tatra te jananI kruddhA mRtyupAzamabhIpsatI । hAsaM te nRpate saumya jijJAsAmIti cAbravIt ॥ 2-35-21

'Oh ! queen if I disclose it, then I will undoubtedly die that very movement' the king replied to his wife. ॥ 2-35-22॥
