सर्वो ह्यभिजनः श्रीमान् श्रीमतः सत्यवादिनः । नालक्षयत् रामस्य किंचिदाकारमानने ॥ २-१९-३६
All the glorious people around him did not observe any change in the countenance of that dignified and truthful Rama. ॥ 2-19-36॥
english translation
sarvo hyabhijanaH zrImAn zrImataH satyavAdinaH । nAlakSayat rAmasya kiMcidAkAramAnane ॥ 2-19-36
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउचितम् च महाबाहुर्न जहौ हर्षमात्मनः । शारदः समुदीर्णांशुश्चन्द्रस्तेज इवात्मजम् ॥ २-१९-३७
The mightyarmed (Rama) did not leave his habitual cheerfulness like the autumnal Moon his own brightness. ॥ 2-19-37॥
english translation
ucitam ca mahAbAhurna jahau harSamAtmanaH । zAradaH samudIrNAMzuzcandrasteja ivAtmajam ॥ 2-19-37
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवाचा मधुरया रामस्सर्वं सम्मानयञ्जनम् । मातुस्समीपं धीरात्मा प्रविवेश महायशाः ॥ २-१७-३८
Firmminded and illustrious Rama treated all people with sweet words and approached his mother. ॥ 2-19-38॥
english translation
vAcA madhurayA rAmassarvaM sammAnayaJjanam । mAtussamIpaM dhIrAtmA praviveza mahAyazAH ॥ 2-17-38
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं गुणैस्समतां प्राप्तो भ्राता विपुलविक्रमः । सौमित्रिरनुवव्राज धारयन् दुःखमात्मजम् ॥ २-१९-३९
Mighty Lakshmana as virtuous as his brother held the sorrow in his mind and followed him. ॥ 2-19-39॥

taM guNaissamatAM prApto bhrAtA vipulavikramaH । saumitriranuvavrAja dhArayan duHkhamAtmajam ॥ 2-19-39

Rama entered the palace which was full of great rejoicing. He did not disclose the obstruction that had come on the way of achieving his objective for fear of causing distress to his friends. ॥ 2-19-40॥

pravizya vezmAtibhRzaM mudA'nvitaM । samIkSya tAm ca artha vipattim AgatAm । na caiva rAmaH atra jagAma vikriyAm । suhRjjanasyAtmavipattizaGkayA ॥ 2-19-40
