धर्मूलमिदम् राम विदितम् च सतामपि । तत्सत्यम् न त्यजेद्राजा कुपितस्त्वत्कृते यथा ॥ २-१८-२४

Oh ! Rama, this (truth) is the basis of righteousness. The virtuous also know this. The king being angry (with me), should not abandon the truth for your sake. ॥ 2-18-24॥

english translation

dharmUlamidam rAma viditam ca satAmapi । tatsatyam na tyajedrAjA kupitastvatkRte yathA ॥ 2-18-24
