रामाभिषेकसम्भारैस्तदर्थमुपकल्पितैः । रामः कारयितव्यो मे मृतस्य सलिलक्रियाम् ॥ २-१४-१६
With the materials already collected for the consecration of Rama he will perform my funeral rite of offering water to the dead. ॥ 2-14-16॥
english translation
rAmAbhiSekasambhAraistadarthamupakalpitaiH । rAmaH kArayitavyo me mRtasya salilakriyAm ॥ 2-14-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्वया सपुत्त्रया नैव कर्तव्या सलिलक्रिया । व्याहन्तास्यशुभाचारे यदि रामाभिषेचन्म् ॥ २-१४-१७
Oh ! woman of inauspicious practices, since you are obstructing Rama's coronation, you and your son shall not perform my funeral rite of offering water to the dead. ॥ 2-14-17॥
english translation
tvayA saputtrayA naiva kartavyA salilakriyA । vyAhantAsyazubhAcAre yadi rAmAbhiSecanm ॥ 2-14-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन च शक्नोम्यहं द्रषुं पूर्वं तथा सुखम् । हतहर्षं निरानन्दं पुनर्जनमवाङ्मुखम् ॥ २-१४-१८
Having seen people formerly enjoying happiness ( Rama's coronation ), I cannot see them again with their downcast, cheerless faces devoid of all happiness.' ॥ 2-14-18॥
english translation
na ca zaknomyahaM draSuM pUrvaM tathA sukham । hataharSaM nirAnandaM punarjanamavAGmukham ॥ 2-14-18
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतां तथा ब्रुवत्स्तस्य भूमिपन्य महात्मनः । प्रभाता शर्वरी पुण्या चन्द्रनक्षत्रश्रालिनी ॥ २-१४-१९
While the king was thus speaking to her (Kaikeyi) that holy night resplendent with the Moon and the stars, the day dawned. ॥ 2-14-19॥
english translation
tAM tathA bruvatstasya bhUmipanya mahAtmanaH । prabhAtA zarvarI puNyA candranakSatrazrAlinI ॥ 2-14-19
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः पाप समाचारा कैकेयी पार्थिवम् पुनः । उवाच परुषम् वाक्यम् वाक्यज्ञा रोष मूर्चिता ॥२-१४-२०
Thereafter, Kaikeyi of sinful conduct and skilful in the use of words, rendered senseless by wrath, again addressing the king in harsh words said ॥ 2-14-20॥
