सीता त्वेतद वचः श्रुत्वा राघवस्य हितैषिणः । तामत्रिपन्तीं धर्मज्ञामभिचक्राम मैथिली ॥ २-११७-१६
Having heard the words of Rama, intended for her welfare, Sita, daughter of the king of Mithila, approached the consort of Atri (Devi Anasuya), knower of righteousness, and reverently circumambulated her. ॥ 2-117-16॥
english translation
sItA tvetada vacaH zrutvA rAghavasya hitaiSiNaH । tAmatripantIM dharmajJAmabhicakrAma maithilI ॥ 2-117-16
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिथिलां वलितां वृद्धां जरापाण्डुरमूर्धजाम् । सततं वेपमानाङ्गीं प्रवाते कदलीं यथा ॥ २-११७-१७
She( Anasuya ) was very old and feeble. Her skin was wrinkled and her hair turned grey due to old age. Her body was constantly trembling like a plantain tree in a stormy wind. ॥ 2-117-17॥

zithilAM valitAM vRddhAM jarApANDuramUrdhajAm । satataM vepamAnAGgIM pravAte kadalIM yathA ॥ 2-117-17
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतां तु सीता महाभागामनसूयां पतिव्रताम् । अभ्यवादयदव्यग्रा स्वं नाम समुदाहरत् ॥ २-११७-१८
Pronouncing her name to highly chaste and fortunate Anasuya, Sita made obeisance to her with utmost concentration. ॥ 2-117-18॥

tAM tu sItA mahAbhAgAmanasUyAM pativratAm । abhyavAdayadavyagrA svaM nAma samudAharat ॥ 2-117-18

Sita offered her obeisance to the blameless ascetic, Anasuya, folding her palms and enquired of her wellbeing in delight. ॥ 2-117-19॥

abhivAdya ca vaidehI tApasIM tAmaninditAm । baddhAJjalipuTA hRSTA paryapRcchadanAmayam ॥ 2-117-19

Anasuya was delighted to see the glorious Sita who was always engaged in righteous acts and said in kind words, 'You are fortunate. You are observing your rightful duty. ॥ 2-117-20॥
