एकचिन्तनमर्थानामनर्थज्ञैश्च मन्त्रणम् । निश्चितानामनारम्भं मन्त्रस्यापरिरक्षणम् ॥ २-१००-६६

- planning alone in the affairs of the kingdom, consultation with people who are proficient in worthless acts, failure to implement decisious, inability to keep the counsel secret . - ॥ 2-100-66॥

मङ्गलाद्यप्रयोगं च प्रत्युत्थानं च सर्वतः । कच्चित्वं वर्जयस्येतान्राजदोषांश्चतुर्दश ॥ २-१००-६७

- and omission of auspicious practices and setting out against all the enemies at a time, I trust you eschew these fourteen faults of kings. ॥ 2-100-67॥

दशपञ्चचतुर्वर्गान्सप्तवर्गं च तत्त्वतः । अष्टवर्गं त्रिवर्गं च विद्यास्तिस्रश्च राघव ॥ २-१००-६८

Oh ! Bharata, having understood the true nature of the the ten evils ; the five kinds of fortifications ; the four expedients ; the seven limbs of state; the eight evils (born of anger); the three objects of human pursuit ; the three branches of learning; . - ॥ 2-100-68॥

dazapaJcacaturvargAnsaptavargaM ca tattvataH । aSTavargaM trivargaM ca vidyAstisrazca rAghava ॥ 2-100-68

इन्द्रियाणां जयं बुद्ध्या षाड्गुण्यं दैवमानुषम् । कृत्यं विंशतिवर्गं च तथा प्रकृतिमण्डलम् ॥ २-१००-६९

- subjugation of the senses, the six strategic expedients; adversity brought about by divine agencies; and by human agencies; the twenty types of monarches; and the entire population of the kingdom - ॥ 2-100-69॥

indriyANAM jayaM buddhyA SADguNyaM daivamAnuSam । kRtyaM viMzativargaM ca tathA prakRtimaNDalam ॥ 2-100-69

यात्रादण्डविधानं च द्वियोनी सन्धिविग्रहौ । कच्चिदेतान्महाप्राज्ञ यथावदनुमन्यसे ॥ २-१००-७०

- setting about an an expedition, drawing up an army in a battle-array and the two bases viz, peace and war, oh ! highly sagacious one, I trust you are appropriately following them. ॥ 2-100-70॥
