निशिभान्त्यचलेन्द्रस्य हुताशनशिखा इव । ओषध्यः स्वप्रभालक्ष्म्या भ्राजमानाः सहस्रशः ॥ २-९४-२१
Herbs in thousands on this king of the hills shine in the night with the splendour of their own lustre, like flames of fire. [2-94-21]
english translation
केचित् क्षयनिभा देशाः केचिदुद्यानसन्निभाः । केचिदेकशिला भान्ति पर्वतस्यास्य भामिनि ॥ २-९४-२२
Oh ! bhaamini ( lovely Sita ), some regions of the mountain look like dwelling places, some others are like flower gardens and some are shining like a single rock. [2-94-22]
english translation
भित्त्वेव वसुधां भाति चित्रकूटः समुत्थितः । चित्रकूटस्य कूटोऽसौ दृश्यते सर्वतः शुभः ॥ २-९४-२३
This Chitrakuta mountain stands erect as if it has arisen by splitting open the earth and its peak looks graceful from every side. [2-94-23]
english translation
कुष्ठस्थगरपुन्नाग भूर्जपत्रोत्तरच्छदान् । कामिनां स्वास्तरान्पश्य कुशेशयदलायुतान् ॥ २-९४-२४
Behold those excellent couches of lovers spread with leaves of uttapala, putrjivaka, punnaaga and bhoja patra covered with lotus petals. [2-94-24]
english translation
मृदिताश्चापविद्धाश्च दृश्यन्ते कमलस्रजः । कामिभिर्वनिते पश्य फलानि विविधानि च ॥ २-९४-२५
Oh ! Lady, behold those lotus garlands crushed and cast aside by lovers and also many fruits (tasted by them and) lying there. [2-94-25]
