ब्राह्मण्यं सर्वमेतत्त्वां ब्रह्मण्यमनुगच्छति । द्विजस्कन्धाधिरूढास्त्वामग्नयोऽप्यनुयान्त्यमी ॥ २-४५-२१
- 'This entire order of brahmins with the sacrificial fires on their shoulders is following you, their well wisher. ॥ 2-45-21॥

brAhmaNyaM sarvametattvAM brahmaNyamanugacchati । dvijaskandhAdhirUDhAstvAmagnayo'pyanuyAntyamI ॥ 2-45-21
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवाजपेयसमुत्थानि छत्राण्येतानि पश्य नः । पृष्ठतोऽनुप्रयातानि मेघानिव जलात्यये ॥ २-४५-२२
See these umbrellas acquired by us while performing Vajapeya sacrifice are following you like the clouds at the end of the rainy season. ॥ 2-45-22॥

vAjapeyasamutthAni chatrANyetAni pazya naH । pRSThato'nuprayAtAni meghAniva jalAtyaye ॥ 2-45-22
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनवाप्तातपत्रस्य रश्मिसन्तापितस्य ते । एभिश्छायां करिष्यामः स्वैश्छत्रैर्वाजपेयिकैः ॥ २-४५-२३
You do not have a royal umbrella and you are scorched by the rays of the Sun. We will offer you shade with the umbrellas acquired during Vajapeya sacrifice. ॥ 2-45-23॥

anavAptAtapatrasya razmisantApitasya te । ebhizchAyAM kariSyAmaH svaizchatrairvAjapeyikaiH ॥ 2-45-23
hk transliteration by Sanscriptया हि नः सततं बुद्धिर्वेदमन्त्रानुसारिणी । त्वत्कृते सा कृता वत्स वनवासानुसारिणी ॥ २-४५-२४
Oh ! dear child, our minds always pursue the study of vedic hymns. For your sake now they are made to follow the life in the forest. ॥ 2-45-24॥

yA hi naH satataM buddhirvedamantrAnusAriNI । tvatkRte sA kRtA vatsa vanavAsAnusAriNI ॥ 2-45-24
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहृदयेष्वेव तिष्ठन्ति वेदा ये नः परं धनम् । वत्स्यन्त्यपि गृहेष्वेव दाराश्चारित्ररक्षिताः ॥ २-४५-२५
The Vedas are our greatest wealth and they reside in our hearts. Our wives, protected by their fidelity, shall stay at home. ॥ 2-45-25॥

hRdayeSveva tiSThanti vedA ye naH paraM dhanam । vatsyantyapi gRheSveva dArAzcAritrarakSitAH ॥ 2-45-25
