शुष्कतोयां महामत्स्यैः कूर्मैश्च बहुभिर्वृताम् । प्रभिन्नतटविस्तीर्णां वापीमिव हृतोत्पलाम् ॥ २-११४-१८
( Ayodhya appeared ) like a circular reservoir of water filled with a lot of large fishes and tortoises, with it's water dried up, vast area around the bank split and waterlilies withered. ॥ 2-114-18॥
