सर्जान अशॊकांस तिलकांश च वृक्षान; परपुष्पितान अवनाम्यावभज्य विलज्जमानेव मदाभिभूता; परलॊभयाम आस सुतं महर्षेः ॥ ३-१११-१६ ॥
'Then she bent down and broke off flowery twigs from trees like the Sala, Asoka, and Tilaka. Overcome with intoxication and adopting a bashful demeanor, she continued to tempt the son of the great sage.' ॥ 3-111-16 ॥

अथर्श्य शृङ्गं विकृतं समीक्ष्य; पुनः पुनः पीड्य च कायम अस्य अवेक्षमाणा शनकिर जगाम; कृत्वाग्निहॊत्रस्य तदापदेशम ॥ ३-१११-१७ ॥
'And when she noticed that Rishyasringa's heart had been stirred, she pressed her body against his repeatedly. Casting lingering glances, she slowly withdrew under the pretense of preparing offerings for the fire.' ॥ 3-111-17 ॥

तस्यां गतायां मदनेन मत्तॊ; वि चेतनश चाभवद ऋश्य शृङ्गः ताम एव भावेन गतेन शून्यॊ; विनिःश्वसन्न आर्तरूपॊ बभूव ॥ ३-१११-१८ ॥
'Upon her departure, Rishyasringa was overwhelmed by love and lost his senses. His mind continually turned to her, leaving him with a profound sense of emptiness. He began to sigh deeply, appearing to be in great distress.' ॥ 3-111-18 ॥

ततॊ मुहूर्ताद धरि पिङ्गलाक्षः; परवेष्टितॊ रॊमभिरा नखाग्रात सवाध्यायवान वृत्तसमाधि युक्तॊ; विभाण्डकः काश्यपः परादुरासीत ॥ ३-१११-१९ ॥
'At that moment, Vibhandaka, Kasyapa's son, arrived. With tawny eyes like a lion’s and a body covered in hair down to his fingertips, he was devoted to the studies appropriate for his caste, leading a pure life dedicated to religious meditation.' ॥ 3-111-19 ॥

सॊ ऽपश्यद आसीनम उपेत्य पुत्रं; धयायन्तम एकं विपरीतचित्तम विनिःश्वसन्तं मुहुर ऊर्ध्वदृष्टिं; विभाण्डकः पुत्रम उवाच दीनम ॥ ३-१११-२० ॥
'He approached and saw that his son was seated alone, pensive and sorrowful, with his mind in turmoil. Rishyasringa sighed repeatedly, his eyes gazing upward. Vibhandaka spoke to his troubled son.' ॥ 3-111-20 ॥
