[लॊमष] सा तु नाव्याश्रमं चक्रे राजकार्यार्थ सिद्धये संदेशाच चैव नृपतेः सवबुद्ध्या चैव भारत ॥ ३-१११-१ ॥
'Lomasa said, "O descendant of Bharata! To fulfill the king's desires, she devised a floating hermitage, both at the king's command and in harmony with her own design."' ॥ 3-111-1 ॥
english translation
[lòmaSa] sA tu nAvyAzramaM cakre rAjakAryArtha siddhaye saMdezAca caiva nRpateH savabuddhyA caiva bhArata ॥ 3-111-1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनानापुष्पफलैर वृक्षैः कृत्रिमैर उपशॊभितम नानागुल्मलतॊपैतैः सवादु कामफलप्रदैः ॥ ३-१११-२ ॥
'The floating hermitage, embellished with artificial trees bearing a variety of flowers and fruits, was surrounded by an array of shrubs and creeping plants that promised an abundance of exquisite and delectable offerings.' ॥ 3-111-2 ॥

nAnApuSpaphalaira vRkSaiH kRtrimaira upazòbhitama nAnAgulmalatòpaitaiH savAdu kAmaphalapradaiH ॥ 3-111-2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअतीव रमणीयं तद अतीव च मनॊहरम चक्रे नाव्याश्रमं रम्यम अद्भुतॊपमदर्शनम ॥ ३-१११-३ ॥
'Its charm and beauty were so enchanting that it seemed to be a wondrous creation of magic.' ॥ 3-111-3 ॥

atIva ramaNIyaM tada atIva ca manòharama cakre nAvyAzramaM ramyama adbhutòpamadarzanama ॥ 3-111-3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ निबध्य तां नावम अदूरे काश्यपाश्रमात चारयाम आस पुरुषैर विहारं तस्य वै मुनेः ॥ ३-१११-४ ॥
'Then she anchored the vessel not far from the hermitage of Kasyapa’s son and dispatched emissaries to explore the area where the sage typically roamed.' ॥ 3-111-4 ॥

tatò nibadhya tAM nAvama adUre kAzyapAzramAta cArayAma Asa puruSaira vihAraM tasya vai muneH ॥ 3-111-4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततॊ दुहितरं वेश्या समाधायेति कृत्यताम दृष्ट्वान्तरं काश्यपस्य पराहिणॊद बुद्धिसंमताम ॥ ३-१११-५ ॥
'Upon seeing an opportunity, she devised a plan in her mind and sent forth her daughter, a clever courtesan by trade.' ॥ 3-111-5 ॥
