[वै] मार्कण्डेयाधिभिर विप्रैः पाण्डवैश च महात्मभिः कथाभिर अनुकूलाभिः सहासित्वा जनार्दनः ॥ ३-२२४-१ ॥

'Janardana (Krishna) conversed happily with the learned Markandeya sages and the noble-souled Pandavas, engaging in pleasant conversations.' ॥ 3-224-1 ॥

english translation

After conversing with them appropriately, the divine Madhusudana (Krishna), mounted his chariot, calling for it in the proper manner-

सत्यभामा ततस तत्र सवजित्वा दरुपदात्मजाम उवाच वचनं हृद्यं यथा भावसमाहितम ॥ ३-२२४-३ ॥

'And Satyabhama, having embraced Draupadi, the daughter of Drupada, spoke these cordial words, full of affection and reflecting her deep feelings towards her:' ॥ 3-224-3 ॥

english translation

कृष्णे मा भूत तवॊत्कण्ठा मा वयथा मा परजागरः भर्तृभिर देवसंकाशैर जितां पराप्स्यसि मेदिनीम ॥ ३-२२४-४ ॥

'O Krishna, may there be no anxiety, no sorrow for you! You have no reason to spend your nights in sleeplessness, for you will surely regain the earth, conquered by your husbands, who are all like gods.' ॥ 3-224-4 ॥

english translation

न हय एवं शीलसंपन्ना नैवं पूजित लक्षणाः पराप्नुवन्ति चिरं कलेशं यथा तवम असितेक्षणे ॥ ३-२२४-५ ॥

'O thou of black eyes, women endowed with such noble qualities and auspicious marks, can never suffer misfortune for long.' ॥ 3-224-5 ॥
