[देवा] इतः परदानाद वर्तन्ते परजाः सर्वाश चतुर्विधाः ता भाविता भावयन्ति हव्यकव्यैर दिवौकसः ॥ ३-१०१-१ ॥
'The celestials said, "It is by your grace that all living beings of the four kinds thrive. Created by you, they offer their reverence to the heavenly beings through sacrifices made to the gods and in honor of their departed ancestors."' ॥ 3-101-1 ॥
english translation
लॊका हय एवं वर्तयन्ति अन्यॊन्यं समुपाश्रिताः तवत्प्रसादान निरुद्विग्नास तवयैव परिरक्षिताः ॥ ३-१०१-२ ॥
'Thus, those who are protected by you, free from trouble, live in mutual dependence and flourish together.' ॥ 3-101-2 ॥
english translation
इदं च समनुप्राप्तं लॊकानां भयम उत्तमम न च जानीम केनेमे रात्रौ वध्यन्ति बराह्मणाः ॥ ३-१०१-३ ॥
'Now this great peril has befallen the people. We do not know who is slaying the Brahmanas during the night.' ॥ 3-101-3 ॥
english translation
कषीणेषु च बराह्मणेषु पृथिवी कषयम एष्यति ततः पृथिव्यां कषीणायां तरिदिवं कषयम एष्यति ॥ ३-१०१-४ ॥
'If the Brahmanas are destroyed, the very earth will face ruin; and if the earth meets its end, heaven itself will cease to exist.' ॥ 3-101-4 ॥
english translation
तवत्प्रसादान महाबाहॊ लॊकाः सर्वे जगत्पते विनाशं नाधिगच्छेयुस तवया वै परिरक्षिताः ॥ ३-१०१-५ ॥
'O mighty-armed one, O lord of the universe, we beseech you to act in such a way that all the worlds, protected by your grace, may endure and thrive, as it would please you.' ॥ 3-101-5 ॥
