नाहं समवबुद्ध्येयं कुब्जे राज्ञश्चिकीर्षितम् । सन्ति दुःसंस्थिताः कुब्जा वक्राः परमदारुणाः ॥ २-९-४०
Oh ! hunchback ( Manthara ), I might not have known the intended (deceptive) action of the king (without you). There are many hunchbacks in this world, terribly ugly with their bodies misshaped and crooked. [2-9-40]
