न कुलं न कृतं विद्या न दत्तं नापि सङ्ग्रहः। स्त्रीणां गृह्णाति हृदयमनित्यहृदया हि ताः ॥ २-३९-२३

sanskrit

Neither a noble descent, nor an accomplishment, nor learning, nor a gift nor even entertainment can capture the heart of women. They are unstable of their heart indeed! ॥ 2-39-23॥

english translation

na kulaM na kRtaM vidyA na dattaM nApi saGgrahaH। strINAM gRhNAti hRdayamanityahRdayA hi tAH ॥ 2-39-23
