[राजा] एवम एतत तवया भद्रे कर्तव्यम अविशङ्कया मद धितार्थं कुलार्थं च तथात्मार्थं च नन्दिनि ॥ ३-२८८-११ ॥
'॥ The King said:॥ So it is, O gentle lady — this must indeed be done by you without hesitation, for my welfare, for the good of our family, and for your own well-being, O fair one. ॥ 3-288-11 ॥
english translation
[rAjA] evama etata tavayA bhadre kartavyama avizaGkayA mada dhitArthaM kulArthaM ca tathAtmArthaM ca nandini ॥ 3-288-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[वै] एवम उक्त्वा तु तं कन्यां कुन्तिभॊजॊ महायशाः पृथां परिददौ तस्मै दविजाय सुत वत्सलः ॥ ३-२८८-१२ ॥
'And having said this, the illustrious Kuntibhoja — devoted to the Brahmanas and full of affection — gave the maiden Pritha into the care of that Brahmana.' ॥ 3-288-12 ॥
english translation
[vai] evama uktvA tu taM kanyAM kuntibhòjò mahAyazAH pRthAM paridadau tasmai davijAya suta vatsalaH ॥ 3-288-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइयं बरह्मन मम सुता बाला सुखविवर्धिता अपराध्येत यत किं चिन न तत कार्यं हृदि तवया ॥ ३-२८८-१३ ॥
'This daughter of mine, O Brahmana, is of tender age and has been brought up in comfort. Should she, at any time, happen to transgress, I pray thee, do not take it to heart.' ॥ 3-288-13 ॥
english translation
iyaM barahmana mama sutA bAlA sukhavivardhitA aparAdhyeta yata kiM cina na tata kAryaM hRdi tavayA ॥ 3-288-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदविजातयॊ महाभागा वृद्धबाल तपस्विषु भवन्त्य अक्रॊधनाः परायॊ विरुद्धेष्व अपि नित्यदा ॥ ३-२८८-१४ ॥
'For the illustrious Brahmanas bear no anger towards the aged, the young, or ascetics — even when such as these are often in error.' ॥ 3-288-14 ॥
english translation
davijAtayò mahAbhAgA vRddhabAla tapasviSu bhavantya akròdhanAH parAyò viruddheSva api nityadA ॥ 3-288-14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसुमहत्य अपराधे ऽपि कषान्तिः कार्या दविजातिभिः यथाशक्ति यथॊत्साहं पूजा गराह्या दविजॊत्तम ॥ ३-२८८-१५ ॥
'Even in the case of a grave offence, forgiveness is expected of the regenerate. Therefore, O best of Brahmanas, the worship that is offered with sincere effort and to the best of one’s ability should be deemed acceptable.' ॥ 3-288-15 ॥

sumahatya aparAdhe 'pi kaSAntiH kAryA davijAtibhiH yathAzakti yathòtsAhaM pUjA garAhyA davijòttama ॥ 3-288-15 ॥
