सुमहत्य अपराधे ऽपि कषान्तिः कार्या दविजातिभिः यथाशक्ति यथॊत्साहं पूजा गराह्या दविजॊत्तम ॥ ३-२८८-१५ ॥

sanskrit

'Even in the case of a grave offence, forgiveness is expected of the regenerate. Therefore, O best of Brahmanas, the worship that is offered with sincere effort and to the best of one’s ability should be deemed acceptable.' ॥ 3-288-15 ॥

english translation

sumahatya aparAdhe 'pi kaSAntiH kAryA davijAtibhiH yathAzakti yathòtsAhaM pUjA garAhyA davijòttama ॥ 3-288-15 ॥
