[वै] एवम उक्त्वा तु तं कन्यां कुन्तिभॊजॊ महायशाः पृथां परिददौ तस्मै दविजाय सुत वत्सलः ।। ३-२८८-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'And having said this, the illustrious Kuntibhoja — devoted to the Brahmanas and full of affection — gave the maiden Pritha into the care of that Brahmana.' ।। 3-288-12 ।।

english translation

[vai] evama uktvA tu taM kanyAM kuntibhòjò mahAyazAH pRthAM paridadau tasmai davijAya suta vatsalaH || 3-288-12 ||
