देवॊ यः संस्थितस तस्मिन्न अब्बिन्दुर इव पुष्करे कषेत्रज्ञं तं विजानीहि नित्यं तयागजितात्मकम ।। ३-२०३-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'Know that consciousness (kshetrajna) which dwells there like a drop of water on a lotus petal is the eternal knower of the field, conquered through renunciation.' ।। 3-203-31 ।।

english translation

devò yaH saMsthitasa tasminna abbindura iva puSkare kaSetrajJaM taM vijAnIhi nityaM tayAgajitAtmakama || 3-203-31 ||

जीवात्मकानि जानीहि रजॊ सत्त्वं तमस तथा जीवम आत्मगुणं विद्धि तथात्मानं परात्मकम ।। ३-२०३-३२ ।।

sanskrit

'Know that sattwa, rajas, and tamas are the attributes of all life, and that life itself is the attribute of spirit. Furthermore, spirit is an attribute of the Supreme Spirit.' ।। 3-203-32 ।।

english translation

jIvAtmakAni jAnIhi rajò sattvaM tamasa tathA jIvama AtmaguNaM viddhi tathAtmAnaM parAtmakama || 3-203-32 ||

सचेतनं जीवगुणं वदन्ति; स चेष्टते चेष्टयते च सर्वम ततः परं कषेत्रविदॊ वदन्ति; पराकल्पयद यॊ भुवनानि सप्त ।। ३-२०३-३३ ।।

'Inert, insensible matter serves as the seat for the living principle, which is inherently active and instills activity in other beings. The thing by which the seven worlds are incited to action is called the Supreme by those with high spiritual insight.' ।। 3-203-33 ।।

sacetanaM jIvaguNaM vadanti; sa ceSTate ceSTayate ca sarvama tataH paraM kaSetravidò vadanti; parAkalpayada yò bhuvanAni sapta || 3-203-33 ||

एवं सर्वेषु भूतेषु भूतात्मा न परकाशते दृश्यते तव अग्र्यया बुद्ध्या सूक्ष्मया जञानवेदिभिः ।। ३-२०३-३४ ।।

'Thus, in all these elements, the eternal spirit does not manifest openly, but is perceived by those learned in spiritual science due to their elevated and sharp perception.' ।। 3-203-34 ।।

evaM sarveSu bhUteSu bhUtAtmA na parakAzate dRzyate tava agryayA buddhyA sUkSmayA jaJAnavedibhiH || 3-203-34 ||

चित्तस्य हि परसादेन हन्ति कर्म शुभाशुभम परसन्नात्मात्मनि सथित्वा सुखम आनन्त्यम अश्नुते ।। ३-२०३-३५ ।।

'A pure-minded person, through the purification of the heart, is able to eradicate the effects of both good and evil actions. By the illumination of their inner spirit, they attain eternal bliss.' ।। 3-203-35 ।।
