करूरस्य सवपतस तस्य वालुकान्तर्हितस्य वै संवत्सरस्य पर्यन्ते निःश्वासः संप्रवर्तते यदा तदा भूश चलति सशैलवनकानना ॥ ३-१९३-२१ ॥
'And O king, at the end of every year, that wicked Asura, covered with sands, awakens and begins to breathe. Then, the entire earth, with her mountains, forests, and woods, begins to tremble.' ॥ 3-193-21 ॥
english translation
तस्य निःश्वासवातेन रज उद्धूयते महत आदित्यपथम आवृत्य सप्ताहं भूमिकम्पनम सविस्फुलिङ्गं सज्वालं सधूमं हय अति दारुणम ॥ ३-१९३-२२ ॥
'His breath stirs up clouds of sand, obscuring even the sun, and for seven continuous days, the earth shakes in all directions. Sparks and flames of fire, mingled with smoke, spread far and wide.' ॥ 3-193-22 ॥
english translation
तेन राजन न शक्नॊमि तस्मिन सथातुं सव आश्रमे तं विनाशय राजेन्द्र लॊकानां हितकाम्यया लॊकाः सवस्था भवन्त्व अद्य तस्मिन विनिहते ऽसुरे ॥ ३-१९३-२३ ॥
'O king, I cannot find peace in my asylum. Slay him, O king, for the welfare of the world. Indeed, when that Asura is slain, the triple world will rejoice in peace and prosperity.' ॥ 3-193-23 ॥
english translation
तवं हि तस्य विनाशाय पर्याप्त इति मे मतिः तेजसा तव तेजॊ च विष्णुर आप्याययिष्यति ॥ ३-१९३-२४ ॥
'I have full faith, O king, in your ability to defeat that Asura. By your radiance and strength, O king, Vishnu himself will empower you.' ॥ 3-193-24 ॥
english translation
विष्णुना च वरॊ दत्तॊ मम पूर्वं ततॊ वधे यस तं महासुरं रौद्रं वधिष्यति महीपतिः तेजस तं वैष्णवम इति परवेक्ष्यति दुरासदम ॥ ३-१९३-२५ ॥
'In days of yore, O king, Vishnu granted a divine boon: the king who vanquishes this formidable and mighty Asura shall be imbued with the invincible energy of Vishnu Himself.' ॥ 3-193-25 ॥
